Project Environment
Due our record of success managing multi-site health center reconstruction projects throughout Ethiopia, we have been approached by another Ethiopian client to manage another US government-funded health center reconstruction project. Given the severe shortage of building materials in Ethiopia, CA-USA requires a procurement specialist that is extremely adept at sourcing building materials such as cement and steel and so forth internationally and scheduling their arrival per a construction master plan. This position could be stationed at out offices in Washington, DC or internationally.

Project Summary:
AED provides technical assistance through its AI.COMM project to USAID in support of the US Government's communication strategy for Avian Influenza Prevention & Control worldwide by developing and advancing activities in AI-affected countries that enhance public awareness and behavior change of high risk practices associated with animal-to-animal and animal-to-human AI transmission.
Position Summary:
The Program Associate (PA) provides administrative program support to the AI.COMM Project, specifically to the communication team/country and regional programs (overseen by the Senior Communication Specialist), and as needed by the research team (overseen by the Senior Technical Officer) and the Knowledge Management Specialist. The PA will also work collaboratively with the finance manager to ensure budget and other finance administration needs are met and with the Operations Manager to ensure that all administrative processes undertaken adhere to and comply with all AED and USAID policies and regulations.
