Position Description
iOWH is developing a sustainable, scalable, transferable Access Program for paromomycin for the treatment of Visceral Leishmaniasis in India. This Paromomycin Access Program will ensure appropriate drug distribution and provision of effective treatment with paromomycin for Visceral Leishmaniasis in Bihar at the village level.
The Project Manager will support the team in design, implementation, and analysis of the Access Program.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Manage development of the operations and training manuals for the Access Program
* Develop and implement a training program for participating sites in collaboration with India staff and partners
* Coordinate development of the rollout plan for the initiation of the Access Program
* Coordinate the global Technical Advisory Board
* Support the Access Team in ongoing site assessment and site readiness activities
* Support the Communications and Fundraising divisions on Access Program-related activities
* Support the team in development of the supply chain (from point of manufacture through disposal), awareness campaigns, training, and M&E
* Solicit input and support from other iOWH departments including clinical, manufacturing, legal, & regulatory to strengthen the Access team program plan.
* Support the India Access team as needed during implementation
* Manage local and international subcontracts and partners with the India team
* Produce reports as needed for internal and external audiences including funders
* Develop and manage timelines, budgets, contracts, and other documents
* Capture lessons learned to inform the development of the VL Control Program
Necessary Skills and Qualifications
* MBA, MPH or equivalent in a public health-related area, with a minimum of 3 years work experience in a developing country; or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years work experience in a developing country
* Experience developing and implementing public health training programs in limited resource settings
* Experience implementing a field-based public health program in a developing country
* Experience with public health logistics systems preferred
* Proven ability to build, lead, and manage teams in cross-cultural settings
* Proven ability to appropriately managed external partners in cross-cultural settings
* Demonstrated initiative and successful management of multiple projects
* Excellent analytical and communication skills
* Knowledge of study (field, clinical, marketing) design, methodologies, implementation, data collection/management is a plus
* International and domestic travel approximately 25-40% of the time
