CARE maintains a substantial portfolio of avian influenza (AI projects) in Southeast Asia and a network of AI point people across 63 countries.
The AI Knowledge Management Assistant would help the AI Coordinator to coordinate activities and learning under the CARE CDC Health Initiative, including:
§ Working on case studies for promising practices in community responses to AI
§ Working on “tool kits” for program managers in AI
§ Presenting lessons learned and case studies to CDC and external stakeholders
§ Developing improved resources for CARE’s AI website
§ Significant CARE experience may be substituted for the above requirements
Requirements: Graduate student in public health preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. Candidate must be comfortable using and adapting to new technology, such as search engines, blogs, MS outlook and other software as needed. Candidate must demonstrate excellent planning and organization skills. Experience in writing cases studies or lessons learned a plus. NGO experience a plus.
