DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

CARE has an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial minded networker looking to grow and build donor base in the Southwest with particular focus on Los Angeles. The Director or Senior Director of Development will be responsible for raising funds for CARE from individuals, corporations, foundations, and other organizations and will concentrate on identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gifts.

We are looking for an independent and motivated self-starter to take the Los Angeles Market Team to a new level in fundraising. The Director or Senior Director will be responsible for acquiring new donors through prospect research and increasing awareness of CARE’s brand in Southern California.

The position is based in Los Angeles (via telework) and will report to CARE’s San Francisco office. S/he must be willing to travel 40-60% locally and nationally as well as occasionally international. CFRE Certification is preferred.
