Position Description
Crown Agents USA, Inc. (CA-USA) seeks a Business Development Manager for our Supply Chain Services practice to spearhead our company’s expansion in U.S. international development market, specifically with clients such as USAID, MCC, DoS and DoD.

As a vital member of the dynamic team of business winners, this role requires fostering strong working relationships with other parts of the company (e.g., technical experts, project managers, and business support staff in our home and international offices) The ability to bring together our diverse resources to produce a winning proposal in supply chain services is an essential component of the position.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Provide strategic planning for the future development and growth of the CA-USA supply chain services portfolio.
• Develop a thorough knowledge of clients and the supply chain services market to develop “win themes” and strategic alliances with potential partners.
• Identify business opportunities with key clients in the areas of supply chain services.
• Analyze RFPs and other bid documents and organize strategic planning sessions for determining required response, technical strategy and business posture vis-à-vis partners.
• Lead or participate on bid teams, including: developing the technical approach, personnel and management sections and corporate capability statements; monitoring each step of the proposal process; coordinating on strategic issues with partners.
• Coordinate proposal peer reviews prior to submission and after-action reviews to identify lessons learned.
• Assume ownership of the business development process in the supply chain services sector from opportunity identification through bid submission, keeping senior management apprised of major issues/concerns and proactively ensuring stakeholder input and review are encouraged to the extent practicable.
• Network closely with technical experts and project managers to ensure that corporate best practices are utilized to best advantage in meeting clients’ needs.
• Promote the supply chain services and capabilities of Crown Agents to existing and prospective clients, government bodies and donor organizations, including identifying and implementing ways of improving the company’s win rate in the supply chain sector.
Necessary Skills and Qualifications
• BA/BS degree in supply chain, logistics, business or related field required; Master’s level degree desirable.
• 10+ years progressively responsible experience in managing supply chain services (project management, technical assistance etc.).
• Significant experience in business development, bid management and/or proposal development preferably focused on supply chain.
• Experience or knowledge of USAID, MCC, Dept. of State, DOD, Department of State, and U.N. policies/procedures highly desirable.
• Strong command of French, Portuguese or Arabic a plus.
