PSI seeks a part-time Washington, DC-based intern to support the Research & Metrics Department in Fall 2007. This internship provides an opportunity to work with PSI staff on a variety of projects in international social marketing, international development, and public health. Specifically, this department focuses on the measurable health impact generated from marketing initiatives across all country platforms. PSI offers flexible working hours and a dynamic, creative, and progressive work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Research & Metric Department intern will have a variety of duties and work on many different projects related to supporting PSI's activities. Duties will include but are not limited to:
# Responding to ad hoc requests;
# Developing PowerPoint presentations and assisting with presentation preparations;
# Filing;
# Assisting with day-to-day administrative activities;
# Data entry;
# Photocopying and faxing as needed.
Experience:
The position requires flexibility, resourcefulness, and the ability to assume varied responsibilities, often with minimal supervision. The intern must be detail oriented, proficient in spreadsheet applications, and have excellent communication skills. Preference will be given to applicants with advanced MS Excel skills. Interests in international relations, marketing, or public health are preferred. The intern should be willing to work 10-20 hours per week. A stipend commensurate with the candidate's experience will be provided.
